How to get free cosmetics with Baldur’s Gate 3 Twitch Drops

When new games release, they are often times hosting what are called Twitch Drops, which allow players to get exclusive cool items that you won’t see in the game any other time. Baldur’s Gate 3 had its launch in early August 2023. Shortly after, the team at Larian Studios released some Twitch Drops for those with a Twitch account.

Twitch Drops are also something that developers sometimes do even after a game has been out for a while which we saw happen with Disney Dreamlight Valley not long ago. We recently also saw Diablo 4 host their own Twitch Drops. Whether you are playing on PC or PlayStation, fans can have the opportunity to claim these in-game rewards simply by watching someone who is streaming the game on Twitch of your choice, as long as they have the drops turned on, which they usually say so in their title. 

The Twitch drop campaign for this Dungeons & Dragons game added some cosmetics items for your character to wear in-game. These items could be worn by anyone no matter what race or class you choose. Here is how you can get free cosmetics with Baldur’s Gate 3 Twitch Drops.

How to get Twitch Drop rewards in Baldur’s Gate 3

The first set of Twitch Drops for Baldur’s Gate 3 were a set of camp clothes, a set of fashionable underwear, different puffy purple shirts, and a pair of fancy dark purple shoes. All of these camp cosmetics seem to be reminiscent of clothing found in Divinity Original Sin and come with a nice silver pattern on each.

This set of purple finery did not alter a character’s stats. Instead, they are purely cosmetic. Those who obtained the items from the streaming service will keep them. However, those who did not receive the items by August 17, 2023, cannot get the items anymore.

• Periwinkle Undergarments
• Channeler’s trunks

How to log in and claim Twitch drops rewards for Baldur’s Gate 3

In order to claim the items from the Twitch drop event, players will need to follow the instructions below to get the rewards successfully. 

1. Log in to the Larian Studios website by either signing in or making a new account. 
2. Watch a Streamer who is streaming Baldur’s Gate 3 for two hours.
3. When the progress bar is completely filled, players will receive a notification to redeem the Twitch Drop items.
4. The items will be added to your in-game inventory after redemption.

Make sure to save before you claim these. Gamers will have to link their Twitch to their Larian account in order to successfully claim these items. Typically, players are given plenty of time to obtain the items in a drop.

The Baldur’s Gate III Twitch rewards were available until August 17, 2023. You can no longer get these specific items. There may be more Twitch Drops in the future, however, since the game is releasing on PlayStation in early September. There is still no date set for the Xbox version of the game.
