If you’re planning on using a controller in the new Arkane game, then there are some changes to make, as we look for the best controller settings for Redfall. As an FPS game, there are some users who will prefer to use one, or if you’re on a console, then you want to get the best changes in there.
The game is about an island town getting taken over by a vampire army. And now some select heroes with abilities are trying to save it. So you can either play solo or multiplayer with your friends to save that town.
Best controller settings for Redfall
These days most releases are pretty good with controller optimization as they do have console releases too. So most of the time sticking to default will give you a good experience either way. But there is still an opportunity to change them depending on your preference.
Currently, there is a warning and PSA on Reddit suggesting a change to the general controller options on consoles. There you want to turn up the controller sensitivity but turn down the input response. This is to help with a more fluid response and less motion sickness. This can also be helped by turning off motion blur, something we do in every game.
Otherwise, the controller mapping is pretty standard for an FPS. You can change them if you have another preference and there are even different layouts you can change out. Although currently, we see no difference between layouts 1 and 2, there is a custom one to alter. But otherwise, it is a good layout in general.

- Turn up sensitivity (we suggest 3)
- Turn down the input response (low)
- Turn off motion blur
Yes, you are able to change the button layout in Redfall. You can customize where the buttons are placed depending on your preference, although the set controls are pretty good already so we don’t see much that would need changing.
