The next release from Bethesda, Redfall is a single-player or co-op FPS focused on liberating the island back from the legion of vampires. So what does it take to run the game, and what is the best GPU for Redfall?
The game is from Arkane Austin, the creator behind Prey and Dishonored. So it has the legacy of world-building, immersive sins, and signature gameplay. But similar to Star Wars Jedi just the week before, it also suffers from performance issues. Also leading to a mostly negative review on Steam.
As an FPS, it is ideal to get a good performance out of the game. As such we look to GPU requirements to play it. With both minimum and recommended options for the gameplay experience.
So at a minimum, the game asks for an RX 580 or GTX 1070. With 6GB of VRAM and DirectX 12 support it’s not the hardest game to come out recently. But for the recommended options, it is slightly more modern, with the options for 8GB cards. Increasing the GPU to an RX 5700, RTX 2080, or Intel Arc.

Design can be a little basic for some
For the equivalent of the recommended options in more modern hardware, there are options for the RX 6700 XT or RTX 3060 Ti. Both with the recommended 8GB VRAM and improved architecture over the suggested options and their older spec. Although this might be limited in the options in terms of resolution, with 1440p a potential over 1080p.
If you’re looking for a better experience then you may want to consider a higher-end option for your graphics card. As such the RTX 4080 or RX 6950 XT are good choices for that elevated choice. It would be capable of achieving 4k resolution and performance so you can enjoy the fidelity of the game.
