Do you want to watch replays in Counter-Strike 2? Since the demo was released a while back, players have been able to download replays of their CS Demo matches. Now that the full release of CS2 has dropped, there is more than one way to catch a glimpse of your previous battles.

Valve didn’t make it extremely easy to watch all of your replays. Things were a bit easier in CSGO. Thankfully, once you have everything set up, you should be able to watch any match without issue. All it takes is a few clicks.

Watch replays of any match no matter what game mode you were playing. Check out the enhanced visuals in the process. Perhaps you can even get the stuttering problem fixed. This guide will show you how to watch replays in CS2.

CS2 – How to watch replays

There are two ways of watch replays in CS2; using the in-game theater or downloading GOTV. Both options are available in CS2 with one being considerably more difficult than the other. Let’s break down how to watch replays using both methods:

If you want to watch replays in-game, select the small television icon in the top left corner of the screen of the main menu. This will bring you to the matches tap. Here, you can watch your Ranked Competitive Matches. You can also download your matches to watch them back later.

How to watch replays through GOTV in CS2

If you want to watch replays through GOTV, follow the steps below. This works for games played during the demo.

  1. Open your Steam Account
  2. Go to the games section
  3. Go to Counter-Strike 2 and select my game stats
  4. From the drop-down menu, select personal game data
  5. On the new screen, select Premier Matches
  6. Select the match you want to watch
  7. Select Download GOTV Replay
  8. Place the file in the CS2 folder

This method of replaying matches can be a bit tedious. During the beta, many players needed to place downloaded files in the Counter-Strike Global Offensive folder to watch their matches. Using this method, they could rewatch their gameplay and use command buttons for rewinding and fast-forwarding the videos.
