Bots in CS2 can be annoying for some players, as they kind of ruin their gameplay experience via their unnecessary callouts. If you’re one of them, you might want to learn about how to remove bots in CS2. Don’t worry, the process is pretty simple, and it involves using the developer console.

How can I kick bots in CS2?

To remove bots in CS2, you will need to enable developer console first from the settings menu if you haven’t already. This console can be used to show FPS and ping as well. Once done, follow the steps mentioned below to remove them:

  1. Start a match in CS2.
  2. Press the ` key to open the developer console menu.
  3. Now, type the mp_limitteams 1 command and press enter.
  4. Open the console again.
  5. Type the mp_autoteambalance command and press enter.
  6. Open the console for the final time.
  7. Type the bot_kick command and press enter.

After you have successfully executed all three console commands, bots will be kicked out of the game, and you will no longer have to worry about seeing them in the match. However, it is important to note that when you start a new game, you will have to do the entire process again. This is because, unfortunately, there is no way to remove them permanently on either your PC or laptop.

It is important to note that bots are limited to private games only, and you won’t find them in ranked games. This is something similar to what we saw in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The previous game also had bots, but Valve Corporation made sure not to include them in ranked games.

On the other hand, if you’re someone who loves playing with bots, then there are ways to get more lobbies. This includes losing games quickly, showing poor performance during matches, or starting a new account. If you continuously do that, you’ll start getting more bot lobbies, and you can enjoy taking them down.
