Diablo IV is the latest release in Blizzard’s hellish Diablo franchise, and with its beautifully dark setting and rewarding gameplay, it’s easy to see why fans are so hooked. A brand new campaign is also a part of the fun in Diablo IV, and the game sticks to its act based system to divide the game up into four parts. How many acts are there in total?

How many acts are in Diablo 4 Season 1?

Diablo IV Season One has a grand total of eight different acts including the prologue and epilogue, a bit different from its predecessor, Diablo III.

The acts are as follows:

  • Prologue – Wandering
  • Act 1 – A Cold and Iron Faith
  • Act 2 – The Knife Twists Again
  • Act 3 – The Making of Monsters
  • Act 4 – A Gathering Storm
  • Act 5 – Secrets Bartered, Fates Sold
  • Act 6 – Dance of the Makers
  • Epilogue – From the Wound Spilled

Each Diablo IV act varies in length, with Acts 1, 2, and 3 taking up the bulk of the story, and you can complete dungeons and world bosses along the way, so the time it takes to finish the entire game varies.

The final act is the finale of the main story and this is where you’ll confront Lilith the Hateful, daughter of Mephisto and the whispered progenitor of humanity. The whole story, from the chilling opening cutscene to every story mission you complete, builds up to this climax, so there’s plenty of build up to reach this point in the game.

You’ll also spend each act building up your character with levels and stats, as well as new gear and weapons to make sure they’re ready to confront the daughter of one the Prime Evils. Barbarians, Druids, Necromancers, Rogues, and Sorcerers will all be working towards this goal, no matter which class you pick.

The Mother of Sanctuary will be present in all the acts, though, so if she’s someone you want to see you’ll get plenty of Lilith as you journey and adventure.
