How to find Shifting City dungeon in Diablo 4

The Shifting City dungeon can be found in the Accursed Wastes area of the Dry Steppes region. It will be directly North of the Ruins of Qara Yisu stronghold and South of the Jakha Basin area. We’ve marked it on the map below for convenience.

It’s important to note that you have to cleanse the evil in Qara Yisu before you can access this dungeon. It won’t be unlocked until this is complete. The Ruins of Qara-Yisu waypoint will also be unlocked, which makes it easy to travel to for other quests.

Diablo 4 Shifting City Guide

Shifting City is a medium-sized dungeon that makes you walk around quite a bit. You’ll be backtracking a lot here, so be prepared to wander around. This dungeon is filled with Fallen and Skeleton type enemies.

When you first enter the dungeon, you’ll be tasked with finding the two Ancient Statues and returning them to the pedestal. You can’t pick up more than one statue at a time, so don’t waste time by trying to get both at once. Even though it doesn’t seem that way, it’s faster to do them one at a time

Once you’ve successfully put them back on the altar, the barrier will dispel and you’ll head down to a room of enemies to beat. This area in the depths is called the Ruins of Anguish.

Once the enemies are beaten, you’ll next have to collect Animus. Animus can be picked up from Animus Carriers which are located throughout the dungeon. You will, again, have to wander the dungeon in search of them. These Elites are pretty straightforward, but are still Elite enemies, and will take some time to defeat. And that’s not including the amount of time it takes just to reach them. Deposit them into the Animus Urn back at the Ruins of Anguish to head into the Chamber of Malice.

Here is where you’re going to find the boss for the dungeon, the Tomb Lord. The Tomb Lord is not particularly strong, but he can summon tornadoes and skeletons to go after you. Put some distance between your character and the Tomb Lord for the quickest way to take him down.

Once he’s dead, the dungeon is complete. You’ll be rewarded by unlocking the Ravenous Aspect in your Codex of Power for your trouble. This Legendary Aspect grants you 50-70% increased Energy Regeneration for four seconds after killing a Vulnerable enemy. It’s important to know that the Ravenous Aspect can only be used by Rogues. Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, and Sorcerer characters will not be able to use the Ravenous Aspect.
