Are you wondering if there is a new class coming in Season 2 of Diablo IV? The Season of Blood is bringing tons of new content to the Seasonal Realm and Eternal Realm, and fans want to know if a new playable class is one of them.

Players have been itching for a new class to be introduced to Diablo IV since the release of the game. It would add tons of new gameplay options, party dynamics, and more. Is the new Season 2 going to grant fans wishes by introducing a new class? We’re here to let you know.

Will a new class be added in Season 2 of Diablo 4?

No, sadly there is not another class coming with Season 2 of Diablo IV. While there will be new powers coming with your character being infected with Vampirism, You’ll still be playing the five available classes:

  • Barbarian
  • Druid
  • Necromancer
  • Rogue
  • Sorcerer

This is bad news for fans who have been begging Blizzard for another class to be added to the game. While the new vampire powers are exciting, they are not the launch of a full new class. Classes like Paladin, Crusader, and others have been requested, but no official word has been said. Diablo Immortal received the new Blood Knight not long ago, and players were also hopeful that it would make its way to Diablo IV.

When will a new class be added to Diablo 4?

Many players believe that a new class will only be added with the addition of DLC or an Expansion for the game. These expansions are expected to come yearly. No news is currently known on when an expansion is coming out, or if it will even have a new class for players. Unfortunately, this means fans will have to wait further for an official announcement of a new class being added.

While there isn’t a new class, there are plenty of other additions coming with the release of the Season of Blood. Join Vampire Hunter Erys (played by Gemma Chan) on a mission to take down the bloody plague of vampirism that’s taking over Sanctuary. There are plenty of rewards and XP to earn, new endgame bosses to fight, and Unique items to farm for. The new world bosses in World Tier III and IV even allow you to target them for specific Uniques.

Plenty of updates are coming for existing features, like Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, Renown Rewards, Overpower damage, and more. Make sure you’ve got the best GPU to see everything in all its dark beauty. All of this is coming in October with the official release date for Season 2. You’ll be able to start your new Season Journey, earn Season Blessings, and more.
