There’s a whole new threat in Sanctuary in the Season of Blood. With so much getting added to the game, it makes sense that players want to know if it’ll be free to play, or if they need to fork over their wallets to get in on the fun. Is Diablo IV’s Season 2 free? We’re here to let you know.
Is Season 2 of Diablo 4 free to play?
Yes! Season 2 of Diablo IV is completely free to play. You don’t need to pay any money in order to play with the new Vampiric Powers, new questline, or new endgame bosses. The Season of the Malignant, Season 1 of Diablo IV, was also free to play, and this is expected to stay this way.
What does Diablo 4 Season 2 cost?
However, you can pay for battle passes in order to gain extra loot and rewards. While there is a Free Battle Pass for all players, there are also two other options. Take note that these are estimated prices based on the cost of Season 1’s Premium and Accelerated battle passes. While these aren’t official yet, these are the expected prices for them:
- Premium Battle Pass (1,000 Platinum, equivalent to $10 USD)
- Accelerated Battle Pass (2,500 Platinum, equivalent to $25 USD)
These battle passes, which can be purchased in the in-game shop using Platinum, come with some extra goodies. You will get tier skips to advance faster, and Season 1’s battle passes came with extra armor sets. While we don’t know the exact content of the Season 2 Battle Pass yet, we can assume it will also include exclusive cosmetics. These will look extraordinary with the best graphics settings.
Even if you don’t purchase the Premium or Accelerated Battle Passes, there is still tons of content to find for free in Season 2. A vampiric nightmare is spreading through Sanctuary. Get ready to team up with Vampire Hunter Erys in your season journey to take down vampires. You’ll gain Vampiric Powers in your quest, along with new Unique items, new Uber Uniques, and other additional rewards. It’s up to your new seasonal character to take down the horrific Vampire Lord Zir.
Luckily, all of this is free to take on in the Season of Blood for Diablo IV.
