#1: Omegamon

#2: Gallantmon 

It can be difficult to know which recruited Digimon to Digivolve in Survive. While your partner Digimon grow at important story milestones, you make the choice of which befriended Digimon should unlock their champion forms and beyond. 

Evolution items don’t grow on trees, and the idea of running out before getting to your favorite ‘mon can lead to some serious decision paralysis.  

Gallantmon makes your Digivolution decision far easier. This incredibly powerful ally is the final form of the fan-favorite Guilmon. You won’t have to go out of your way to recruit a Digimon that can eventually become Gallantmon, so long as you took the steps to download Guilmon.

It takes a hefty time investment for any of your Digimon to reach their ultimate (or mega, for those of us used to the dub terms) forms. But MagnaAngemon is an absurdly powerful Digimon, and quite possibly the strongest Perfect form in Digimon Survive. 

But it isn’t just his power that gives MagnaAngemon the third spot on this list. For one, you don’t have to go to the effort of training and evolving a Patamon to add MagnaAngemon to your team. He can be recruited directly at the start of the game’s third chapter, instantly boosting the power of your party with his arrival. 

In addition, when you successfully answer MagnaAngemon’s recruitment questions and asked him for an item, he may give you a Perfect Enlightenment Slab. MagnaAngemon is not only a hugely powerful Digimon in his own right, he is a real team player, enabling your other Digimon to ascend to his level. 

#4: Greymon 

One of the most beloved Digimon of all time, Greymon makes this list not solely due to popularity, but because of how much he swings the game’s balance of power to your side when he arrives. 

As the very first Digivolution you acquire in Digimon Survive, Greymon turns Agumon from a pint-sized powerhouse into a truly colossal threat. Even when other partner Digimon on your team attain champion level, Greymon remains a staple of your squad for hours to come. 

Any of Agumon’s champion forms – based on your main Karma score – could fit this spot for the same reason. But Greymon is the classic, after all, so might as well show him a little extra respect. 

#5: Labramon 

Moving away from the ultra-powerful, Labramon is a rookie that joins your squad in the first chapter of Digimon Survive.

What makes Labramon one of the best Digimon in the game is not their combat prowess, but the fact that they are the first healer you encounter in Digimon Survive. 

Cure Liquor is Labramon’s signature skill. It heals a huge chunk of any of your Digimon’s health. This makes Labramon absolutely crucial in the game’s opening hours, able to carry you through early boss fights like Dokugumon with very little trouble. 

While you’ll eventually add more powerful Digimon to your squad – and Labramon will Digivolve into stronger forms – Labramon is an necessary inclusion for Digimon Survive’s first few chapters at the very least.
