When you need to upgrade craft your own gear or upgrade existing gear, visit Blackthorne – the blacksmith in Cid’s Hideaway. You will gain access to the blacksmith as part of the main story of the game.

To craft new gear, interact with the blacksmith. This will bring you to the crafting menu. Here, you can use your collecting materials to craft items that the blacksmith has available. At first, you will only be able to make the Broadsword and Iron Belt.
