You will discover various weapons by purchasing them at Charon’s Toll with GIl or crafting them at the Black Hammer Forge in the Hideaway. The Coral Sword is an item you will obtain before a boss battle. This guide will detail how to get the Coral Sword in Final Fantasy 16.

Where to find the Coral Sword in Final Fantasy 16

You will encounter weapons as Clive travels through Valisthea, searching for answers and continuing his quest. The Coral Sword is an item you will find when completing the main quest, The Crystals’ Curse.

During the main story quest, you will travel to The Holy Empire of Sanbreque to destroy the Mothercrystal, Drake’s Head. Clive, Jill, Cid, and Torgal will go through the underground dungeon mines and obtain this sword.

Traveling through the mines, you will encounter various enemies, such as the Imperial Cannonier and an Akashic Champion and Miners. Once you defeat all the enemies, you will reach a dark corridor.

You must first kick down the wooden gate to enter the passage. A wooden treasure coffer box will be at the end of the path. Approach the box and press X to kick it open. Inside this box, you will find the Coral Sword. After you find this sword, you will go on to defeat the Akashic Dragon in the inner sanctum.

The Coral Sword is extremely valuable as it has an Attack power of 185 and a Stagger of 185. Therefore, ensure that you equip this sword before the battle with the Akashic Dragon Guardian.
