Only Up is a new video game that was released in late May 2023. The game was developed by SCKR Games, but it didn’t take long for Fortnite players to recreate it. Thanks to the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), the game can now be played inside Epic Games’ title.
The new Creative map has been incredible so far. It has attracted millions of players, and some of them have spent countless hours on it. Considering how fun the map is, this comes as no surprise.
On top of that, Only Up has broken the record for the most concurrent players on a Creative map with more than 100,000 players.
Only Up looks fantastic in Fortnite
The Only Up Fortnite Creative map was developed by Army, a French gaming organization that’s been active since 2012. These creators have done a fantastic job with their latest project and deserve a lot of praise.
The goal of Only Up is to get as high as possible. However, there are many obstacles on the way, which is why it’s very easy to fall to the bottom. What makes this game unique is the lack of checkpoints. This means that players have to start all over again once they fall.
The Creative map features both an altimeter and a timer. The altimeter shows the height of a player, while the timer is used to post the record. It is possible to beat the map and get to the top, which is why the timing is also important.
Another reason why many Fortnite players are in love with the Only Up map is its theme. The map features many iconic Chapter 1 objects, from Dusty Depot to the meteor. Thanks to this, reaching new heights feels even more rewarding.
At the moment, the record is held by JynxFanSquirtle, a Canadian player who has finished the map in only 9 minutes and 38 seconds. Considering how difficult the map is, this is very impressive. Not only has the player finished the map in under 10 minutes, but they are also far ahead of everyone else, as the second-best time belongs to mcmillbr with 12 minutes and 11 seconds.
With 105,974 concurrent players on July 3, Only Up has become the most popular Fortnite Creative map. To put this number into perspective, Fortnite: Save the World has an all-time peak of only 32,634 players, while Zero Build’s peak is just under half a million players.
