Here’s how to increase and change world tiers in Diablo 4! While you may be more used to seeing standard titles such as easy, normal, or hard, the Diablo series likes to make things more unique. The game can be quite challenging, and you can change World Tiers if you’re on a higher difficulty. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or just getting started in your journey through the fourth game in the franchise, here is how to change World Tiers in Diablo IV.

Diablo 4 World Tiers Explained

World Tiers in Diablo 4 is the system Blizzard have implemented as their ‘difficulty system’. The tiers are put in place to obviously distinguish the difficulty and demand that is asked for.

The higher the tiers you go up, the more rewards you receive such as gold and XP.

How do you change World Tiers in Diablo 4?

You can change the World Tier settings through the main menu before starting the game or in-game in the city of Kyovashad. Before beginning your quest in Diablo 4, you’ll need to make a character. After you’re through creating your avatar, you’ll be asked to select a World Tier. Each time you log in afterward, you can choose to change the World Tier before joining the game from the main menu’s Change World Tier option.

  2. From the main menu, select the Change World Tier option
  3. Choose the World Tier you’d like to play on
  4. Enter the game as your character to play on the selected setting

The second way to change your World Tier is by doing so in the game. Head to the main city of Kyovashad and find the World Tier Statue in the northeast section of the map. It’s just below the Cathedral of Light. Approach the map and press the interact button or key, depending on if you’re using a console or keyboard, to bring up the World Tier options. Select your desired setting and exit the screen. Once you have control of your character gain, the game will now be on the chosen World Tier.

  1. Head to Kyovashad
  2. Find the World Tier Statue in the northeast part of the city
  3. Select to interact with the statue to bring up the World Tier selection list
  4. Choose your desired World Tier
  5. Exit the screen
  6. You’re now playing on the new World Tier

What are the World Tier options in Diablo 4?

You’ll find four World Tier difficulty options in the full version of Diablo 4: World Tier 1: Adventurer, World Tier 2: Veteran, World Tier 3: Nightmare, and World Tier 4: Torment. While the beta only had the first two, the final game will feature all four.

How do you change World Tiers in Diablo 4?
