It’s common with MMORPG games like FFXIV to find yourself on the brink of death, or KO’d during a battle and need to revive. Unfortunately, you will not often remain unscathed with maximum HP in an arena or against a boss. Thankfully, there are ways solo revive and revive the entire party. So, follow this guide to discover how to revive Final Fantasy XIV.

How do you revive players in Final Fantasy XIV?

A few classes and actions will allow you to resurrect your fellow teammates. The Healer and Magical Ranged DPS class will have a few jobs available that will enable you to revive party members. They are as follows below:

Healer:

  • White Mage – Raise
  • Scholar – Resurrection
  • Astrologian – Ascend
  • Sage – Egeiro

Magical Ranged DPS:

  • Summoner- Resurrection
  • Red Mage – Verraise
  • Blue Mage – Angel Whisper

The revive mechanics are as follows. To revive or rez a player, use the action Raise (or any iteration of it); this will prompt them to accept the Raise. The recast time for Raise is 2.5 seconds. When they accept this action, they will resurrect with 20% of the max HP. They will also be given the Transcendent buff for 5 seconds. This buff will prevent them from taking additional damage.

However, the player will have the Weakness stats effect, which will cause Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Mind to be reduced during the duration. However, if you respawn after the encounter, the player will revive without the Weakness debuff.

In addition, if you are a Healer or Magical Ranged DPS, you can unlock the action Swiftcast at Lv 18. You can use this healing action on the nearest party member or yourself.

What items can you use to Revive in Final Fantasy XIV?

Some items or potions exist to revive your character. They, however, can not be used in battle. Instead, you can use Phoenix Down, High-grade Company-issue Tonic, and Over-aspected Cluster.

So, what’s the point of a resurrection potion if it can’t be used in battle? These potions can only be used in Deep Dungeons like the Palace of the Dead, Heaven-on-High, and Eureka Orthos. These Dungeons are multiple-floored, and depending on which expansion you own, for example, Endwalker, Shadowbringers, or Stormblood, the level of the Dungeons will increase.
