Blizzard Entertainment’s newest title was teased again at The Game Awards 2022, and fans have been looking forward to Diablo 4 thereafter. So with Diablo 4 on the way, and not one but two betas to test out in March, who can play? Is Diablo 4 on PS5? And can you play the Diablo 4 beta on PS5?

Will Diablo 4 be on PS5?
In short, yes, Diablo 4 will be coming to PS5. According to the official Blizzard page of Diablo 4, PS5 is getting a release. With everything going on with Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, it’s easy to understand the confusion.
There was a similar situation when Microsoft acquired Bethesda when people were not sure if some of the games that were originally scheduled to release on PlayStation will still be released on that platform.
It is safe to say that it should be similar to the Bethesda situation, meaning that every game that was already announced for release on PlayStation systems will be released on PlayStation systems.
Diablo 4 was announced a long time ago, with a lot of information and gameplay already out in the daylight. The game has been in development for a couple of years and has been announced for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 release way back at BlizzCon 2019.
Is Diablo 4 beta on PS5?
We’ve got one beta period left now that the Early Access session for those that pre-purchased Diablo 4 is over. The next window opens tomorrow and will run between March 24–26.
If you’re wondering who’s got access, Blizzard has made sure players on all platforms can enjoy both the Early Access beta and the open beta, as they are available on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. So yes, the Diablo 4 beta is most certainly on PS5!
When does Diablo 4 come out on PS5?
Aside from the aforementioned beta this weekend, we’re looking at a Diablo 4 release date of June 6th, 2023. That means we’ve all got plenty of time to think about pre-orders and work our way up to one of the biggest releases of the year. And Blizzard have more time to further optimise and enhance the game before then having had feedback from the betas. Win win.
What classes are in Diablo 4?
Diablo IV will launch with five classes— the Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, and Sorceress.
Will there be more than 5 classes in Diablo 4?
Five playable classes have been announced, but fans are suggesting that a Paladin character may return. The latest Diablo 4 trailer features an army backed by Inarius, marching into Hell with shields bearing the symbol of the Zakarum, the religious organization from Diablo 2. Based on those Zakarum symbols, fans believe it’s likely that Diablo 4 will bring us the return of the Paladins.
