Is the Hylian Shield in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

There are a few items in The Legend of Zelda Franchise that are quite recognizable no matter how familiar with the franchise you are. One of these items is the Hylian Shield which is normally paired with the Master Sword. However, fans have noticed a distinct lack of the shield in trailers for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Let’s go over whether The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will have the Hylian Shield as an item or not.
Will The Hylian Shield Be In The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
While it is not confirmed yet, it seems like the Hylian Shield won’t be in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. we have been unable to see any appearance of the Hylian Shield in the three game trailers that have been released so far. But have instead seen a much different shield design instead.
This time around, Link seems to be using a shield that bears the Sheikah tribe symbols on a white background instead of the normal Hylian Shield. Although this new shield could be an outcome of the new Fuse ability that Link will have or perhaps something that you can craft, it does seem to be taking the stage over the Hylian Shield as the showrunner.
It does seem a bit odd to have a Zelda game without the normal Hylian Shield, but that doesn’t seem to be the only change to Link’s arsenal in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Even the Master Sword has undergone some changes and none of them are good.
The lack of the Hylian Shield could mean something in regard to the status of the Hyrule Kingdom. Perhaps something has happened to wipe out all traces of the Kingdom in the time since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, only time will tell.
