Star Wars Jedi Survivor preload times have opened! The line in the sand has passed, and those who have preordered the game can now preload it, regardless of which platform their on. This means you’re now able to get full in position way ahead of the game’s full release and get the game in a perfect, ready-to-play state allowing you to play the game the second it drops. And while this is no replacement for the lack of early access we were all hoping for, there’s nothing like getting it all sorted in advance.

EA confirmed via Twitter that Jedi Survivor will be available to preload ahead of its release – April 25th to be exact! – and below we go into exactly what that means, and you can minimize any waiting around. Even though the moment preloads officially opened has passed, there’s still some good info here to use as a reference. But remember, the game is not coming out on last-gen consoles, so if you’re hoping to play Jedi Survivor on PS4 or the original Xbox One, you’re out of luck.

Preloads in the USA are open! Just hit download now and you’re all set. As a reminder, here’s when they started:

• PC (Steam and EA App): April 25, 11am EDT / 8am PDT
• PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: April 25, 12pm EDT / 9am PDT

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor preload time – UK

If you’re in the UK then preloads have also started and are open! PC players got an hour earlier again, like the US, and here’s when the opened:

• PC (Steam and EA App): April 25, 4pm BST
• PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: April 25, 5pm BST

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor preload time – Europe

And, you guessed it, Jedi Survivor preloads are open in Europe too! They went an hour after the UK, due to the time difference:

• PC (Steam and EA App): 5pm
• PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: 6pm CT

Also, just for total clarity, if you’ve preordered a physical version, these preload times will not apply to you – you’ll have to wait until the delivery man drops off your copy.

The game will require a hefty amount of space, regardless of what platform you play it on. For PS5 users, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is around 147GB, around 140 GB on the Xbox Series X, and then PC has the largest file size of 155 GB. It’s also worth noting that if you’re on PC, you’ll need to ensure your PC meets the minimum requirements. The minimum requirements are as follows:

How to download Star Wars: Jedi Survivor faster

There are a few things you can do to ensure you download / preload the game as quickly as possible, which we list below.

• Make sure you are using a wired connection, not a wireless one – as the former is more stable
• Make sure you disconnect or pause any other non essential downloads – movies, for example
• Disconnect nonessential devices from the WiFi
• Check that there are no other downloads or updates going on in the background

What do I get if I pre-order Jedi Survivor?

As a reminder, you can only preload if you’ve pre-ordered. And it’s definitely worth considering placing a pre-order if you’re a fan of the series and Star Wars universe, and you’ll get some exclusive goodies by doing so. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition of the game (physical or digital) will bag you an Obi-Wan Kenobi-inspired ‘Jedi Survival’ cosmetic pack (consisting of an outfit, a blaster skin, and a lightsaber skin); while pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will get you the ‘New Hero’ and ‘Galactic Hero’ cosmetic packs, on top of the ‘Jedi Survival’ set. Is Jedi Survivor out yet?
