It’s a great time to get to know the best players in Madden NFL 24, regardless of position. The elusive 99 overall rating isn’t given to too many players every year, and there are only five in this year’s version. All ratings below were revealed by EA Sports’ official Madden NFL 24 rating page.

Who are the best Madden NFL 24 players?

These are the only members of the 99 Club in Madden 24 right now. Several players, including Nick Bosa, Trent Williams (both of the San Francisco 49ers), Myles Garrett (Cleveland Browns), Lane Johnson (Philadelphia Eagles), and Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins) are all 98 overall and could eventually join them. At the game’s launch, here are the five 99 overall players in Madden. Most teams, such as the Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Chargers, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, and more do not have a 99 OVR player despite being highly rated.

Note: These are not in any order since they are all the highest-rated players in the game.

  • Zack Martin
  • Travis Kelce
  • Patrick Mahomes
  • Justin Jefferson
  • Aaron Donald

Below we’ll go over each player in detail.

Below we’ll go over each player in detail.

5) Zack Martin

Zack Martin is probably the best offensive lineman in the NFL. The right guard (RG) is in the middle of some contract disputes with the Dallas Cowboys right now, but that should end soon. He’s one of the best players in the world, and he deserves a contract that more accurately reflects that. 99 is a prestigious rating, but he’s been at the top of the blocking game for years and deserves every bit of it.

4) Travis Kelce

There is no tight end (TE) better than Travis Kelce. There may not even be a pass-catcher in any position that’s better. Everyone in the stadium knows he’s getting the ball and the defense is entirely powerless to stop it. He catches everything, gets open on every route, and scores with relative ease. His 99 overall is more than justified.

3) Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes is not just the best quarterback (QB) and one of the best players in the game right now. He’s one of the best to ever do it. There is no throw the Kansas City Chiefs star can’t make and he can make throws that no one else can. He’s accurate, can throw it as far as anyone, and makes plays that shock fans daily. Even without a top wide receiver, he’s the best in the league and his 99 rating feels low even if it’s not. He is the one player in Madden that can be added to pretty much any team and they would go deep in the playoffs.

2) Justin Jefferson

Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver (WR) Justin Jefferson quickly became one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and now, he’s one of the best players regardless of position. He’s the rare wide receiver that it does not matter who is matched up on him. He’ll catch the ball wherever it’s thrown and can get 100 yards and multiple touchdowns with ease. A 99 overall can’t get better, but he’s young and likely will. He could dominate virtual and real defenders for a decade to come.

1) Aaron Donald

Aaron Donald is one of the most dominant defenders in NFL history. Offensive lines have sometimes devoted three linemen to blocking him, something no one else in the league has to deal with consistently. He’s played defensive tackle (DT and right end (RE) depending on the system the team uses. Even when he’s double-teamed, he disrupts plays and rushes the passer. He’s the best defender and some consider him the best player period in Madden 24. He, like Mahomes, would be deserving of an even higher rating if there was one.
