In this guide, we’ll show you how to request a trade in Madden 24. Madden NFL is back with the latest iteration of the wildly popular football simulator game. Madden NFL 24 is filled with brand-new animations and mechanics to get sports fans excited.

You can dive, blitz, and break tackles to become the best football star in the world. Of course, in order to be the best, you need the best players. The Franchise Mode has you pick a team or teams to manage, but can you trade players to your team?

How do you request a trade in Madden 24? We’re here to give you all the details you need.

Madden 24 – Can I request to be traded?

No, your player cannot request a trade in Superstar mode, which is where you pilot an individual created NFL star. You are with whatever team you play for until your contract ends, at which point you can leave or re-sign. This was true of Madden 23 Face of the Franchise, which is not in next-gen versions of Madden 24.

You can make a trade for players in Franchise Mode, however. This is where you control the whole team as the coach. Do this by:

  • Going to the Home Tab in the Franchise Hub
  • Go to the Activities list
  • Go to Manage Roster
  • Go to the Trade Center

Players are able to trade up to six draft picks in Franchise Mode in Madden 24, doubled from the three trade slots that were in Madden 24. These trades with CPU teams (or real players in a connected franchise) have been tuned in Madden 24 for greater realism and more overall fun. This new feature has improved trading tremendously.

You can also receive offers in Madden 24. Players from your team or another team can get offers of athletes or draft picks, and you can counter these offers or accept them for true flexibility and cap management.

Can you make trades outside of Franchise Mode in Madden 24?

No, Franchise Mode is the only mode where you’ll be able to trade players. In Superstar mode, trading is not possible, nor is it in Ultimate Team, either. Naturally, there’s no trading in head-to-head, either. Ultimate Team restricts trading, too. You’ll have to stick with the players you’ve got. This is true of the Deluxe Edition or Standard on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, PC and every platform the game is presently on.

There, you can trade wide receivers, linebackers, defensive backs, halfbacks, and more to gain assets or increase your salary cap space.

There are plenty more updates to Franchise Mode in Madden 24, like the return of Training Camp featuring plenty of mini-games to enjoy on both offense and defense. There are new Weekly Strategy dynamics to play through, the Draft Timer can be turned on and off, Relocation to different cities like Albuquerque, Regression Sliders have been added, and Commissioner Tools have been added. The Commissioner Tools allow you to control more of the roster, including depth chart and free agency. For example, commissioners can control how many free agent bids are placed on a team.

Madden 24 has been out since its official launch in mid-August, so you can pick up a team and move it to new cities, play WR Battle, join Superstar KO, and more in the current year’s game!
