How to Blitz in Madden 24

Blitzing is a defensive play used to our pressure on the other team’s quarterback. In doing so, as the defensive coordinator, it’s your job to send as many defensive players as possible to overwhelm offensive linemen. Blitzes are denoted in the playbook and involve bringing more rushers towards the line than normal.

A successful Blitz on the quarterback is used to disrupt his passes, thus causing fumbles and bad throws. The best formation for this is a 3-4 formation when you Select a Play. However, ensure you have fast outside linebackers to break any defense. When selecting your players, look at the OVR (overall rating) on the left side of the screen.

Any number from 85 and higher will be the player you want to use in this formation. When choosing your defensive linemen, ensure the player you’re using for the nose tackle is one of the heavier players.

You can also use 4-3, Nickel, and Dime formations as a Blitz. Each formation will have its own set of benefits. However, it’s up to you to control the game’s pace with different techniques, including zone blitz, edge blitz, and overload blitz. By changing your strategy, you can confuse the opposing team.

If you also want to add some confusion, you can use a fake blitz for the offensive linemen. You also want to make sure you run through various simulations to see which formation works best for you. Remember, the goal is to sack the quarterback and force turnovers!
