In Madden 24, on next-gen platforms, Superstar mode is a brand new game mode that allows gamers to create their own future NFL star and ascend the ranks to become the best NFL player of all time. It’s essentially Franchise Mode for a single-player, and it has a few internal game modes to add variety and fun to it.

For your player, it’s important to end up on the best team possible. This isn’t always straightforward, though. For example, a created quarterback wouldn’t want to be on the Kansas City Chiefs since their QB is Patrick Mahomes. Here are the best teams for key positions.

What team should I get on in Madden 24 Superstar mode?

There is one important stipulation for playing Madden 24 Superstar mode: You can only play a few positions. Quarterback, Running Back, Wide Receiver, Linebacker, and Cornerback are the only spots you can play.

With that in mind, the best teams for each position will vary. For a quarterback, it’s best to look for a team without an established quarterback. That includes the Houston Texans, for obvious reasons. Additionally, those with aging veteran quarterbacks (think Aaron Rodgers on the New York Jets, Kirk Cousins on the Minnesota Vikings, Jared Goff on the Detroit Lions, Russell Wilson on the Denver Broncos, and others) are good.

You wouldn’t want to intentionally join a QB competition against Travis Kelce, Lamar Jackson, or Jalen Hurts, so avoid those teams.

For running back, it’s a little easier to find a team. Some teams should be avoided, but there are plenty of good options. Try to find one without a star running back and with a good offensive line. The Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, and Buffalo Bills would make a good landing spot for a halfback.

At wide receiver, there are no bad teams. Even if you’re the third-best wide receiver behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, you’ll still be an integral part of the offense, for example. However, teams with good quarterbacks and a lack of wide receivers are great.

The Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, or Carolina Panthers come to mind for a WR.

Moving to linebacker (MLB, LOLB, or ROLB), most teams are good. The San Francisco 49ers are probably not since they boast the best linebacker corps in the NFL, but other teams are fine. Try the New England Patriots, as their linebackers are usually good thanks to the scheme, coaching, and playbook. The Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins are safe choices, too.

Cornerback, the final option for your superstar player in Madden 24, is another easy one. Avoid teams like the New York Jets or Seattle Seahawks, but most other teams are a safe landing spot. The Los Angeles Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New Orleans Saints have strong defenses that could use another shutdown cornerback.

In general, look for teams where your position isn’t filled with players possessing superstar abilities. If there aren’t any, it’s a good team to go with. Unfortunately, you cannot play as a lineman, edge rush player, tight end, or safety. Kicker and punter are not allowed, either.

Madden NFL 24, which features Josh Allen as the cover athlete, has been available since mid-August.
