Trading in Madden 24 is better than it has been in any iteration before. With three extra trade slots, trades are more realistic and more likely to pull off than ever before. Even still, it’s difficult to complete trades. CPU teams still occasionally place too much or too little value on something. When that happens, it can be frustrating to be denied. Fortunately, there’s a way to force it to go through.

How can I force a trade in Madden 24?

You can make a trade more likely in Madden 24, but only in franchise mode. You cannot turn on the force trade to ensure that you can trade a seventh-round pick for the game’s best players.

The franchise is the only game mode in which either players or draft picks can be traded to other teams. The additional trade slots are one of the new features you can use to land players on offense or defense, but it’s not perfect.

Thus, the trade frequency option in Madden NFL 24 is useful. Here’s what to do:

  • Head to Franchise Settings > League Settings
  •  Scroll down to Commissioner Settings or Commissioner Tools
  •  Turn trading to Very Easy

This will make the CPU less hesitant to trade with you. There are varying levels of Normal, Easy, Very Easy, Hard, and Very Hard. These make the trade difficulty higher or lower. With it lower, you can probably trade that 80 overall tackle to the Tennessee Titans for a second-round pick.

If you increase it, it will be harder to trade. That 85 overall linebacker from the San Francisco 49ers will now require a first-round pick at minimum. The game’s normal settings add to the realism, but you can make it easier if you want to build a super team of the most talented defenders, linemen, cornerbacks, and more. This does not affect free agents, as signing stars in free agency is not a trade.

EA Sports’ Madden 24 has been available for the platforms PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation 5 since its launch in August.
