Madden 24 linebacker ratings – Best LBs ranked

Madden 24 has a lot of good linebackers at various positions. Whether it’s middle linebacker (MLB), left outside linebacker (LOLB), or right outside linebacker (ROLB), these players are almost always making plays all across the field. They are game-changing players, and these 10 are the best in the new game.

Who are the best linebackers in Madden 24?

Please note that this does not include such players as TJ Watt, Haason Reddick, Maxx Crosby, or Von Miller. They are listed as outside linebackers, but in a 3-4 formation, they rush the passer as edge rushers and do not play linebacker.

Additionally, Micah Parsons is no longer a hybrid edge/linebacker and is not included here. All ratings below were revealed by EA Sports’ official Madden NFL 24 rating page.

  1. C.J. Mosley- 85 OVR
  2. Shaquille Leonard- 86 OVR
  3. Dre Greenlaw- 86 OVR
  4. Tremaine Edmunds- 87 OVR
  5. Nick Bolton- 87 OVR
  6. Bobby Wagner- 89 OVR
  7. Demario Davis- 90 OVR
  8. Lavonte David- 91 OVR
  9. Roquan Smith- 92 OVR
  10. Fred Warner- 96 OVR

10) C.J. Mosley- 85 OVR

C.J. Mosley anchors the New York Jets from the middle. Their top-notch defense runs through him. His ability to recognize plays and get other players into the right positions is an unheralded trait that makes him one of the best MLBs in this game.

9) Shaquille Leonard- 86 OVR

Very few NFL players can create tackles like Shaquille Leonard. The Indianapolis Colts linebacker has been among the league leaders in that aspect for several years, and he’s poised to do it all again in 2023.

8) Dre Greenlaw- 86 OVR

The San Francisco 49ers linebacker, unfortunately, lives in the shadow of the best MLB on the planet, but Dre Greenlaw is a key part of their defense. He flies all over the field making tackles and diagnosing plays. He is one of the best-rated linebackers in Madden NFL 24.

7) Tremaine Edmunds- 87 OVR

Tremaine Edmunds heads over to the Chicago Bears with very big shoes to fill at the linebacker spot there. Nevertheless, he’s a top-notch talent with a Madden rating to reflect that. He will once again be one of the most dependable players in this game.

6) Nick Bolton- 87 OVR

Nick Bolton is a key part of the Kansas City Chiefs defense. While Chris Jones gets a lot of the headlines, Bolton is all over the field, calling plays and disrupting the offense. He had a tremendous performance in the Super Bowl and the Madden ratings adjustors took note.

5) Bobby Wagner- 89 OVR

Bobby Wagner is past his prime and no longer the fearsome MLB that anchored the Legion of Boom with the Seattle Seahawks. Yet, he is still a top-five-rated linebacker in Madden 24. Even years after his prime, he’s still a player to reckon with in this game.

4) Demario Davis- 90 OVR

The New Orleans Saints are led by Demario Davis, one of the hardest-hitting linebackers in the game. The middle linebacker makes plays in the backfield with ease, tracks down wide receivers and tight ends, and controls the flow of his defense. His 90 overall is very warranted.

3) Lavonte David- 91 OVR

Lavonte David will probably lead the NFL in tackles this season as he has done in the past. There just aren’t many players better at finding the ball and tracking down who has it before knocking them down and possibly forcing fumbles. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a good one.

2) Roquan Smith- 92 OVR

The Baltimore Ravens made Roquan Smith the highest-paid linebacker in the league. The Madden 24 rating doesn’t quite agree with that designation, but it does agree that he is an excellent player. The Ravens were quick to trade for and extend him, and these ratings show why.

1) Fred Warner- 96 OVR

There is no linebacker like Fred Warner. He is one of the best-tackling linebackers in EA Sports’ latest release, he can get a sack on the quarterback, and he’s exceptional at recognizing plays. He is also perhaps the best coverage linebacker in the league, so he can drop back on tight ends and nab interceptions without struggling.
