Generally speaking, sports video games are available on a wide variety of platforms and Madden 24 will be no exception. Prior to 2022, MLB the Show was a PlayStation exclusive, but other than that, all sports games have been available on a lot of platforms. Will that include Mac for Madden 24?

PC is growing as a gaming platform, with many of them being considered even stronger than the top consoles on the market. That doesn’t include all computers, but Mac has also been used for gaming before. Will that be possible for Madden 24?

Will Mac get Madden 24?

Yes, Mac users will have access to Madden 24, but not in the typical sense. There is a version of the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X and so on and so forth, but there is no Madden 24 Mac version. Instead, it will be available on Steam.

If you have Steam, then you can get Madden NFL 24 on all of its platforms, which include Windows, Mac, and even Linux. To purchase it, visit the Steam store on your device and pre-order the game. Like the other versions, the cover athlete is Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Macs are generally not considered gaming computers. They’re good devices, but they often do not have processors that are designed for gaming. Gaming PCs like Alienware, Dell, Lenovo, and others are top-of-the-line gaming devices, but Macs usually are not considered in that group.

Still, they can play games and if the device is new enough, it should have no trouble loading up and running Madden, even with improved realism, game variation, and other yearly enhancements.

Since it’s on Steam, it is not considered next-gen. That means it won’t have Sapien Technology, FieldSense, cross-play, or smarter AI teammates, and it doesn’t come with the longer list of pre-order rewards.

The Mac version of EA Sports’ latest offering will come with all the same modes, gameplay, and more. Franchise mode, new mini games, and more are included on Mac. Unfortunately, crossplay, realistic player action, body definition, Superstar Showdown, Superstar mode, updated athlete physiques, and other fluid changes to add realism are not present.
