How to QB slide in Madden 24

If you want to slide in Madden 24, it is done with a double-tap of the dive button while sprinting. On PlayStation, this is the Square button. On Xbox Series X/S, this is the X button. One PC, this is the Q key.

The benefit of sliding is to keep your quarterback or player safe from the defense. Each player has various stats that affect their play. Typically, quarterbacks have a high pass stat and a low carry rating. Even with a high carry rating, QB’s should still slide to prevent a fumble or injury that would come from a dive.

QB-slide functionality is handled with a double tap of the button. A single press will initiate a dive. The same rule applies to all other positions that can slide including wide receivers.

There are plenty of other maneuvers and mechanics that you can take advantage of in Madden 24 such as stiff arm, dead leg, and touch pass. Each of these mechanics can help you score a touchdown and win the game.
