In this guide, we’ll go over the top 10 QBs in Madden 24 including the best ratings in the game. With Madden 24 being the newest iteration of Madden, pretty much everything aside from full gameplay has been revealed. That includes all player and team ratings. Every player that is currently in the NFL, including some free agents that remain unsigned, has their rating.

Quarterback is the most important position in the game, and perhaps in all sports. Without them, an offense doesn’t run and a team can’t win. Therefore, having a good one is paramount in Madden 24, whether it’s in franchise mode or head-to-head. Here are the best of the best. All ratings below were revealed by EA’s official Madden NFL 24 rating page.

Who are the best quarterbacks in Madden NFL 24?

It should come as no surprise that Patrick Mahomes tops the list of quarterbacks in Madden 24. There, unsurprisingly, no rookies like Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, or CJ Stroud are present here. Honorable mentions include Trevor Lawrence, Geno Smith, and Jared Goff. Tom Brady retired, so he’s not in Madden. Here is the full top 10 in EA Sports’ latest game:

  1. Tua Tagovailoa – 83 OVR
  2. Kirk Cousins – 84 OVR
  3. Aaron Rodgers – 86 OVR
  4. Dak Prescott – 87 OVR
  5. Justin Herbert – 87 OVR
  6. Jalen Hurts – 88 OVR
  7. Lamar Jackson – 91 OVR
  8. Josh Allen – 94 OVR
  9. Joe Burrow – 95 OVR
  10. Patrick Mahomes – 99 OVR

Below we’ll go over each player in detail.

10) Tua Tagovailoa – 83 OVR

At times last year, Tua Tagovailoa looked like a 95 overall player. Concussions and other injuries slowed him way down, but if he can stay healthy and continue that production from 2022 into 2023, there’s no reason he won’t continue to climb. He and his Miami Dolphins wideouts will make life tough on opposing cornerbacks.

9) Kirk Cousins – 84 OVR

Kirk Cousins is perpetually on the fringe of being a top-10 quarterback with the Minnesota Vikings. After last season, he just edges in at ninth overall. His 84 rating is pretty solid and it makes him a good option for players. He’s not mobile at all, but he’s accurate with pretty decent arm strength. Having Justin Jefferson to throw to help, but Cousins is good in his own right.

8) Aaron Rodgers – 86 OVR

Last year was proof that Aaron Rodgers was not the Rodgers of old. Fortunately, the new Rodgers, now on the New York Jets, can still be pretty good. He should benefit from having legitimate wide receivers to throw to and a team that’s contending, so his rating will likely improve.

7) Dak Prescott – 87 OVR

Dallas Cowboys superstar Dak Prescott leads one of the NFL’s most dynamic offenses year in and year out. His rating has suffered because of his propensity for interceptions in 2022, but he can still throw and run very well. He’s a great option in Madden 24.

6) Justin Herbert – 87 OVR

Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers has one of the best arms in football. He can sling it with the best of them. He’s not as mobile as some others and he’s struggled at times without his top pass-catchers. He comes in at 87, but don’t be surprised if that rating is much higher soon.

5) Jalen Hurts – 88 OVR

Jalen Hurts was briefly made the highest-paid player in NFL history by the Philadelphia Eagles, and his 2022 season was why. He became an elite dual-threat quarterback. Part of that may have been thanks to an elite offensive line and two exceptional wide receivers, which is why he’s 88 and not above 90. Still, from second-round pick and backup to top-five QB in Madden 24 is impressive.

4) Lamar Jackson – 91 OVR

Lamar Jackson looked excellent with the Baltimore Ravens last year before getting hurt. He is a bit injury prone, but he’s the most dynamic athlete at the QB position. He can run better than a lot of running backs and throw better than a lot of quarterbacks. All of that makes him top four in Madden.

3) Josh Allen – 94 OVR

Josh Allen took a bit of a stumble last year with a lot of turnovers for the Buffalo Bills. Still, he’s one of the best in the game and is capable of putting up 4,000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards in a season. That makes him a rare talent and his overall rating showcases that.

2) Joe Burrow – 95 OVR

Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow has morphed into an elite quarterback, capable of going toe to toe with anyone in the league. He lost top wideout Ja’Marr Chase (one of Madden’s top-rated wide receivers) for a period last season and didn’t miss a beat, proving he’s grown into an elite quarterback that can succeed with anything.

1) Patrick Mahomes – 99 OVR

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is already one of the best quarterbacks of all time. He’s a two-time MVP coming off a season in which he won that award, the Super Bowl, and set records all after losing the best-rated wide receiver in the game in Tyreek Hill. He will likely be a 99 and the top quarterback for several years to come. His throw power, throw accuracy (short accuracy, medium and long), and more make him the best player in this game.
