Madden 24 has not been shy about what the player ratings are. Every athlete in the league has a rating days before the official release. Every position group has top-rated players, including wide receivers. That is an important position, so here are the best of the best.

All ratings below were revealed by EA’s official Madden NFL 24 ratings page.

Who are the best wide receivers in Madden 24?

Here are the top 10 WR ratings ahead of the Madden 24 release. Honorable mentions include CeeDee Lamb, Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and others who just missed out:

  1. AJ Brown – 91 OVR
  2. Amari Cooper – 91 OVR
  3. Terry McLaurin – 92 OVR
  4. DeAndre Hopkins – 93 OVR
  5. Ja’Marr Chase – 94 OVR
  6. Stefon Diggs – 96 OVR
  7. Cooper Kupp – 96 OVR
  8. Davante Adams – 97 OVR
  9. Tyreek Hill – 98 OVR
  10. Justin Jefferson – 99 OVR

Below we’ll go over each player in detail.

10) AJ Brown – 91 OVR

AJ Brown was traded from the Tennessee Titans to the Philadelphia Eagles and proceeded to make the entire state of Tennessee regret it. He was dominant all year long, providing an elite target for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. He was one of the best WR for the entire year and the Madden rating adjustors took notice.

9) Amari Cooper – 91 OVR

Despite leaving the Dallas Cowboys and entering an offense with uncertainty at quarterback, Amari Cooper was as reliable as ever. The Cleveland Browns WR navigated poor play from Jacoby Brissett and Deshaun Watson and continued to produce a game in and game out.

8) Terry McLaurin – 92 OVR

Terry McLaurin is one of the most unlucky wide receivers in the NFL. He’s never had a great quarterback and the Washington Commanders have cycled through them in his career. This year, he gets Sam Howell in his second year- first as a starter. Still, he can be relied upon to produce among the best despite all that and his Madden NFL rating reflects that.

7) DeAndre Hopkins – 93 OVR

DeAndre Hopkins went a long time without being signed after being cut by the Arizona Cardinals. This was a surprise because he’s still a stellar wide receiver. Despite inconsistencies in who throws the ball to him, he produces every single year. This Madden rating indicates that he’ll do that again.

6) Ja’Marr Chase – 94 OVR

Cincinnati Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase is one of the most dynamic wide receivers in football. Though he has evolved since then, Joe Burrow used to exclusively rely on him to get open and make the catch. Chase always did and his 94 rating proves that. If he continues on his career trend, he could be at the top of this list very soon.

5) Stefon Diggs – 96 OVR

Stefon Diggs is one of the most consistent players in football. Arguably the only threat on the Buffalo Bills offense, Diggs will get 100 yards and a touchdown from Josh Allen almost every single week. It doesn’t matter who’s guarding him, either.

4) Cooper Kupp – 96 OVR

Cooper Kupp won the WR Triple Crown for the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 and was on his way to challenge for that once again in 2022 before he got hurt. If he had been healthy all season, this 96 overall (which is very good) would be even higher in all likelihood.

3) Davante Adams – 97 OVR

Davante Adams wanted to prove he could play without Aaron Rodgers, so he joined Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders. He was an All-Pro and even did well with Jarrett Stidham. Madden’s overall ratings don’t quite work like this, but there is a strong argument for Adams being the best pass-catcher in football.

2) Tyreek Hill – 98 OVR

Tyreek Hill faced a similar situation and sought to prove that he could do well without Patrick Mahomes. Thus, he joined Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins. He was one of the most productive players across the league and he comes in a hair below a perfect rating in Madden.

1) Justin Jefferson – 99 OVR

There is nothing Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson can’t do. He will beat cornerbacks deep, and he will break off routes and get wide open. He’ll catch every single ball thrown his way no matter the coverage, and then he’ll probably make a few defenders miss in the open field. His 99 is one of the most justified in the game.
