Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is out! The sequel to the reboot of the beloved series (we’re one step away from a reboot to the sequel of the reboot of the beloved series, and that’s very funny to me) is out, bringing with it a new competitive scene and new multiplayer options. This of course also means there are a whole lot of bugs, such as the MW2 attachments not unlocking bug.

In a tweet, developers Infinity Ward stated:

We are disabling attachment tuning until further notice to investigate crashes for users with 5 attachments tuned. If you currently have a tuned attachment equipped, you will need to unequip and reequip it to use your loadout.”

It’s likely that Infinity Ward and Activision-Blizzard are looking to patch this game sooner rather than later, especially given the huge amount of bugs that players have faced over the last few days since release. It’s not just this one bug, it’s a whole series of bugs such as issues facing people trying to change their operator and issues with leveling up guns.

Why Is MW2 So Buggy?

Games like Modern Warfare 2 often release in an extremely buggy state, mainly due to the fact there’s a huge amount of pressure put upon their development teams.

It’s impossible for them to catch everything on a first pass through, and it results in issues such as these cropping up. It’s likely they’ll all be fixed in a coming patch though, so just wait patiently for them to get to it.
