The new Season 5 for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Warzone means there is plenty of new content to keep fans happy. Plenty of events will be taking place, including the Faction Showdown Event.
You can use the new game modes, new weapons, and new operators to complete the Faction Showdown Event. Once you do, you’ll be rewarded with fantastic loot and exclusive cosmetics.

Faction Showdown Event Rewards in MW2 and Warzone
The limited-time event Faction Showdown has two main rewards for completing the main challenge of the event:
- An Emblem
- A Calling Card
These are earned by getting 50 Operator kills for either task force, Task 141, or Shadow Company. This is the main mission of the event that you need to complete.
There are more challenges depending on what faction you choose, and completing the faction’s challenges will reward you with more loot:
- Tier Skips for the Battle Pass
- Vehicle Skins
- A Weapon Blueprint for completing all challenges in a faction
Finally, there are final rewards for the winning faction when the event ends on August 16, for whichever team has the highest total of Operator kills:
- A Free Operator Skin for either Soap or Horangi, depending on which faction wins
- A Universal Weapon Camouflage
- A One-hour double Battle Pass XP Token
These final rewards will only be available to the winning faction for those who completed all five challenges within their faction, and earned 50 Operator kills. These specific challenges will vary on whether you have chosen Task 141 or Shadow Company, as Task 141 prefers Melee weapons, Finishing Moves, and Battle Rifle longshots, while Shadow Company focuses on SMGs, Launchers, and Lethal Equipment. The challenges for each faction will be based on those weapons and methods of killing.
You can complete the challenges in any of the multiplayer maps, and in any of the game modes, from Big Capture the Flag to Havoc.
Season 5 will have plenty more than just the Faction Showdown Event. There will be new operators like Graves, Oz, Mila, and Velikan, new special guest operators like Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj, new maps like Punta Mar, Lounge, and Canal, new vehicles like the MRAP and Dirt Bikes, new weapons like the FR Avancer Assault Rifle and Carrack .300 Sniper Rifle, and plenty more.
As soon as the Faction Showdown Event has its launch on August 4, you can get to work racking up Operator kills and completing challenges to obtain sweet loot.
