With so much content, it’s easy to see how players are worried about how long the update will take. If you need to know how long the update is, we’re here to help.

How long is the MW2 Season 6 update?

Unfortunately, we don’t have an official download size for Season 6 of MW2 and Warzone, so we can only estimate the time it takes to update. Taking into account previous seasons of Call of Duty, we estimate that the update should take around 15 to 25 minutes.

We’ll update this article once the official download time is known.

How long your update takes depends on various other factors besides how big the file size is, including:

  • Internet Connection
  • Platform/Console

For example, if you have a poor internet connection, the download could take longer than our estimated time.

What is coming in Season 6 update of MW2?

From the start of Season 6 of MW2, there is plenty to get excited about once your update is done. There are new game modes to try out, including the return of infected Zombies in the Vondead event for Vondel. Tons of operators are coming, like Ash Williams from Evil Dead 2, Alucard from Hellsing, Skeletor, Spawn and Al Simmons, Inarius and Lilith from Diablo, and more. Plenty of weapons will be added, from the DOOM Chainsaw to a new SMG and Assault Rifle. New maps for multiplayer, like Koro Village, Embassy, and La Casa, are coming at the release date of the update.

The Battle Pass features plenty of gear on each tier. Several maps like El Asilo will be getting a reskin for The Haunting event. Tons of Halloween theme operator skins will be new additions, like Soul Crusher for Mila and Nikto Spawn for Nikto. Of course, patch notes and adjustments will be made, too.

All of this can be found as part of the incredible Season 6 of MW2 and Warzone. Activision has packed in the content both at launch in September and mid-season. While you will have to wait for the update, it’s worth it to try out all the new limited-time Halloween bundles and goodies.
