The latest addition to the legendary Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare III is getting plenty of hype. Coming out on a multitude of platforms, the newest FPS game from Activision has plenty to offer for gamers.

Zombies mode is making its return, there’s a whole host of new maps to explore, and that’s just the beginning. Fans will be able to dive right into the game come launch, but MacOS players want to know if they’ll be able to get in on the action.

If you need to know if MWIII will be on Mac, look no further. We’ve got all the details you need right here.

Will MW3 be on Mac?

As of right now, there is no official confirmation if MWIII will be available on Mac operating systems. The game so far only shows being available on PC on the following launchers:

  • Steam
  • Battle.net

System requirements on Battle.net show the game is only for Windows systems, and on Steam the system requirements show to be determined. The official Call of Duty website also shows only being able to purchase the game for PC. This isn’t very promising for CoD fans on Mac, as so far it seems Mac will not be getting MWIII.

Will MW3 be coming to Mac?

It’s unknown if there are any plans to bring the first person shooter sequel to Mac users, however, Modern Warfare II is still not Mac compatible, so the future doesn’t look so bright.

Still, there is nothing official from Activision, so don’t lose hope yet.

There’s plenty to look forward to in MWIII, from the Zombies Survival Mode, new spec-ops missions, action-packed combat progression, and a definitive multiplayer experience that the series is famed for. The world’s darkest hour will need Task Force 141 to return to the battlefield and fight against new and familiar foes in plenty of game modes.

Unfortunately, Mac users will have to wait and see if they’ll be able to join the combat and action.
