NBA 2K24 is not out yet as it is slated for release in September, much closer to the beginning of the NBA regular season. As a result, player ratings aren’t out yet, either. There’s no information on who the top players will be, though NBA 2K23’s ratings should give a good hint as to where some players might be.

Center is a very important position in the NBA and while the modern center has evolved since the days of Shaquille O’Neal or even Dwight Howard, it still has a lot of good players. The three most recent MVP winners were centers. Here’s who we believe will top the ratings for the center position in 2K24.

Who will the top 5 centers be in NBA 2K24?

Here is our prediction on who will more than likely be the top five centers in NBA 2K24. Note that this doesn’t include Power Forwards who can play center, such as Zion Williamson, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Julius Randle, or others.

Here are the ratings predictions:

5) Karl-Anthony Towns- 85 OVR

Karl-Anthony Towns has something that most NBA centers don’t have and that’s a legitimate three-point shot. Of active centers, he’s made 50 more threes than the next closest in Brook Lopez, who’s been playing for seven more seasons. That improves the Minnesota Timberwolves’ big man’s rating since he is also not a great defender. He has a terrific offensive game that includes shooting from all over the floor and gathering a lot of rebounds, so he is still one of the best centers available in 2K24.

4) Domantas Sabonis- 88 OVR

Domantas Sabonis is one of the best rebounders in the entire league. He can record 15 rebounds in a single half and no one bats an eye. His offensive game largely consists of close-range scoring, which does limit his overall. Nevertheless, he is an excellent rebounder and a very strong defender. The Sacramento Kings star is also known to drop a dime or two, so he’s a pretty strong and well-rounded player at the center position.

3) Bam Adebayo- 88 OVR

Bam Adebayo is a very good center. He is one of the rare centers that can truly do it all, although his three-point shooting does leave a bit to be desired. He can pass and score and is often the Miami Heat’s main facilitator. He’s a triple-double candidate who is also routinely among the best defenders at his position. He’s a very good all-around center whose NBA 2K24 rating should reflect that well.

2) Joel Embiid- 97 OVR

If not for a certain new NBA champion, Joel Embiid would be far and away the best center in the entire game. He’s a candidate for 30 and 15 every single game and he can also explode for 50+ points. He’s not the greatest shooting center, but he can knock down wide-open jumpers, making him a relatively well-rounded and dominant center. The Philadelphia 76ers star won MVP last year, so he will rightfully be one of the top-ranked players regardless of position.

1) Nikola Jokic- 98 OVR

It’s hard to put anyone over the reigning MVP, but Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets won the previous two MVPs and he had a very strong case for the third (voter fatigue might have kicked in) this year over Embiid. Regardless, he then went and ran through the NBA playoffs, making mincemeat of every defense he faced en route to an NBA finals win. He’s one of the game’s best scorers, rebounders, and passers all in one. He’s arguably the best player in basketball, and he will likely be the top-rated (or at the very least tied with Embiid) center in the entire game.
