NBA 2K24 will have crossplay, but only between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This information was officially confirmed by 2K Sports, who included it in the game’s FAQ on the official website.

While this is fantastic news for gamers who own current-gen gaming consoles, it’s unfortunate for old-gen players. Besides these two systems, NBA 2K24 will also be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, it doesn’t seem that the other systems will be able to take advantage of the new perks. They will be restricted to playing with their own consoles, and not even with each other.
Additionally, it doesn’t appear that the video game will support cross-progression between different consoles. Instead, this functionality will also be limited to the same console family on last-gen. Certain aspects, like gear progression and other things, will be cross-progression.
Players will be able to carry over their MyTEAM progress and VC wallet between different generations of consoles. For example, PlayStation 4 players will be able to carry over their progress to PlayStation 5 and vice versa. This feature will also work with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S to include some cross-platform play for those consoles.
Is NBA 2K24 crossplay with PC?
NBA 2K24 will not support crossplay with PC. The gaming platform will not be able to play with other new gen consoles the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 since it is considered last-gen. PC will not be able to play with Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation 4, either. PC players will be forced to play with their own platform alone.
