If it’s your contention that there are too many superteams in the NBA, then NBA 2K24 is the game for you. Not only can you play as your own team, you can completely reshape the NBA. With the fantasy draft feature, you can see an NBA with LeBron James, Khris Middleton, and Jamal Murray on the New York Knicks. The results are unpredictable. Here’s how you can do that.

How can I fantasy draft in NBA 2K24?

Fortunately, fantasy drafting in NBA 2K24 is very easy. It comes in MyNBA mode, which is the game mode that lets you control a team and change eras if you so choose. Enter that mode from the 2K main menu and select MyNBA. From there, start a new file for your MyLEAGUE.

Moving forward, it will allow you to set the customization options for this new league. There are loads of choices you can make. The fantasy draft option is the very first one, though. The first section of settings has fantasy draft at the top, so select it and toggle that on. Once you’re done tinkering with the rest of the setup options, advance.

This will take you to the draft settings, which includes draft type. These are typically snake, which means one team picks 30th and 31st overall after the draft order reverses. The player pool can also be customized. The default is active players, but you can set it to include classic teams, all players, or either one.

The draft order is randomized once you select a team, so it may require a restart. If you want to bring your favorite players to the Orlando Magic, you might not be able to if they end up with pick 26.

This draft includes all current NBA teams with no league expansion yet, so each round is 30 picks long. Teams have to fill out a 12-man roster with this. You will need to have a starting point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center, as well as a full bench. From rookies to 15-year veterans, everyone is available to fill those spots.

After your draft is complete, you can get on the court for the regular season with your new custom league, featuring the NBA’s superstars in very different situations than in real life.
