NBA 2K24 just released their court report for MyNBA mode. With this game mode, players can take control of the league and star players from iconic eras in MyNBA. This is the premier basketball franchise mode available in 2K24 New Gen, which is only available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Ahead of the September release, 2K Sports is revealing more information about what their latest game will entail. MyNBA mode is undergoing some changes from the last game, so here’s what to expect when it drops.

What is MyNBA in NBA 2K24?
MyNBA is an expanded and all-encompassing franchise mode in NBA 2K24. With most games that have franchises, it’s only the current era of the league that fans can take part in. With MyNBA, gamers can travel back in time.
Last year, NBA 2K23 allowed players to visit bygone eras, like Magic vs. Bird or the Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls in the 1990s, or relive the Kobe Bryant years. This year, that’s possible again and 2K Sports is introducing the LeBron era. LeBron James’ career has spanned the modern era, and now you can revisit all parts of it. The LeBron era will likely be a popular one for gamers since they actually lived through that time as an NBA fan.
There are even more possibilities in NBA 2K24 New Gen and more ways to get you in the action fast, including the all-new part of the game: MyNBA Lite mode, which is designed for a quicker, more casual experience. It’s the same MyNBA mode from before, just with a lot more possibilities, so players can do whatever they want within those eras.
There are now five eras you can partake in:
- Magic vs. Bird era
- LeBron era
- Kobe era
- Jordan era
- Modern era
Join any of these eras and start recreating or completely changing history as we know it. The eras progress like they would have otherwise, with players aging and changing appearance as they would have. Bryant starts with an afro, wearing number 8. The 24 jerseys come around later, as does his baldness.
The brand new LeBron era begins with his decision to join Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade on the Miami Heat. You can either take control and make good on their promise to win seven or more NBA Finals, or you can build a competitor to take them down through drafts and by signing any free agent, with or without a salary cap.

- Appearance Editor
