NBA 2K24 is bringing back the hit game mode MyTEAM. They’re bringing in more packs, rewards, and cards to revitalize the mode for the next release. The latest iteration of the NBA 2K video game makes changes to Seasons, XP, Salary Cap mode, and the ways in which players can earn MyTEAM Points. Here’s what to expect going forward.

What’s new in MyTEAM for NBA 2K24?

The first and biggest change to MyTEAM in 2K24 is the fact that they have increased the earn rates for all modes (including MyCAREER, MyPLAYER, and multiplayer modes). They have been almost doubled for most MyTEAM players.

92-94 overall Diamond cards are the max when the game releases, so unheralded cards will get some time to shine. Those who pre-order the Black Mamba Edition get a Five-Player Option Pack Box, which includes the choice of an Amethyst, a Ruby, and three Sapphire Player Cards for MyTEAM.

Perhaps one of the most important changes comes in the form of the Player Market. Buying and selling cards is vital to improve players’ squads and build a dominant lineup (earning a lot of VC along the way), so this change is needed. Almost any player will be available through the new market. This replaces the Auction House in an attempt to level the playing field for all MyTEAM gamers. You can buy with MTP (MyTEAM Points) or Virtual Currency.

Every single day, there will be a new deal on a player. This greatly discounted card will be available through the new revolving Deal of the Day program. Quicksell values are also at an all-time high for MTP.

The Pack Market is also being revamped. The new system boosts the odds for rare cards, so pulling something amazing out of a pack has never been easier. Holo cards used to just look cool, but they can now be sold for four times the amount, so pulling them is really useful.

There is also a new mode being added. Each Season, the new Salary Cap mode will be split into three rounds that last two weeks. Each round comes with its own salary limit for lineups and rewards, hence the name. In Season 1, each round will have a Ruby Player Reward Card for NBA players. Players who earn all three in Season 1, will also receive an Amethyst Victor Oladipo Reward Card.

The XP system is also getting an overhaul as the third and final major change to MyTEAM mode. All players need to do to earn XP is play games, whether with their favorite NBA team, in Mamba Moments, offline modes and more. You can get MyTEAM coins to increase XP intake even further, but these expire in the season they were received.

For those on last-gen, MyTEAM cross-progression with the same platform on New Gen will be available. PS4 users will have their entire MyTEAM collection and mode progression available on PS5. The same is true for Xbox One players who also game on Xbox Series X|S. Be on the lookout for locker codes, which will help MyTEAM even more.

NBA 2K24 is coming out soon for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-order NBA 2K24 as the Black Mamba Edition, Kobe Bryant Edition, 25th Anniversary Edition, or WNBA Edition now and start your gameplay soon!
