With the new season of Overwatch 2 from Blizzard, Invasion, here, there are all sorts of rewards players will be able to earn. From the new Legendary Skins to the new hero Illari, there’s plenty to get.
As soon as the start time for Season 6 hits, players will be able to jump into the battle pass and begin ranking up. Season 6 is packed full of new content for fans to enjoy, and the new support hero is just one of them.

How to get Illari in Overwatch 2 Season 6
There are two ways you can unlock Illari in Season 6 at launch. These are the two methods you can use to get her:
- Purchase the Premium Battle Pass with Overwatch Coins
- Rank up in the Free Battle Pass to level 45
Each one of these methods will unlock her permanently, so you’ll always have access to her. The Premium Battle Pass will allow you to unlock her instantly, so you’ll be able to play her as soon as the season begins. However, it does cost money to do so, no matter whether you get the Premium Battle Pass or the Invasion Bundle.
You can still get her for free, by grinding out the Free Battle Pass, but it will take a while to get to tier 45 and unlock her.
Illari is a support hero with plenty of new solar-powered abilities, including her Ultimate Captive Sun, her Healing Turret she can place, and her railgun-like weapon as shown off in the trailer.
How to unlock Illari Legendary Skin in Overwatch 2 Season 6
Illari will also be getting a Legendary Skin courtesy of the battle pass, as found by u/HeelMePlease on Reddit.
This Llama Pajama skin will also be a reward for the battle pass, proved by the battle pass icon next to the title, although it’s currently unknown if this skin is a Premium exclusive, or what tier it unlocks at. We’ll update this article once more information is known.
There’s plenty more than just the new support hero Illari to be found in Season 6 of Overwatch 2. The long-awaited story missions are finally making their debut with three locations to play in, Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Gothenburg. The Invasion story missions are the main draw of the season releasing in August. A new core mode called Flashpoint is being added for PvP, and Hero Mastery for training will also be introduced.
