What’s in Season 6 of Overwatch 2?

There’s plenty of new content to look forward to. Season 6, called Overwatch 2: Invasion, will feature PvE story missions being added to the game as a playable mode, where you’ll work with teammates to bring down the invading Null Sector forces in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Gothenburg.

The new support hero, Ilari, will be added to the game during Season 6, and this new hero coming means reworks for other supports to make room for the new hero. Lifeweaver, Mercy, and Kiriko are all receiving major buffs and nerfs to make play more balanced.

With the Season 6 Battle Pass, you’ll unlock permanent access to Sojourn and a new legendary skin for Cassidy and Kiriko. There are plenty of other rewards to earn with the new battle pass tiers, including plenty of cosmetics.

Another new game mode will be added, Flashpoint, a core PvP mode where players battle for control of three points on the map. This includes two new maps, New Junk City and Suravasa, the biggest maps to date for Overwatch. You’ll also be able to train with the Hero Mastery mode, a practice mode for players to test their skills and work their way through a progression system with a leaderboard for all to see.

All of this can be found once Season 6 of Overwatch 2 launches this August 10. Make sure your system requirements fit so you can jump in as soon as it starts.
