The release of Pikmin 4 is on the horizon and is set for late July. Fans of the series are excited to try out the new mechanics and meet the new Ice Pikmin. It is time to gather treasures, power the ship up with Sparklium, and track down castaways along with Captain Olimar.
You are a member of the Rescue Corps and you will work endlessly to find the members of your group in this sequel to the Pikmin series. Plant-like creatures like the Red Pikmin, Blue Pikmin, and Yellow Pikmin will help you solve puzzles and overcome obstacles.
There are many adventures to be had on the mysterious planet. Past games in the franchise have been on the GameCube, Wii, and Wii U. There is talk about the latest one coming to PlayStation and possibly even Xbox. Could this mean that Pikmin 4 will also be on PC?
Will Pikmin 4 be on PC?
While it would be nice to see the game on other consoles, Pikmin 4 will not be on PC. The game is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and will therefore not be coming to PC now or in the future. This is unfortunate for those who don’t have a Nintendo Switch System but not surprising since Nintendo is the developer.
This does not mean that all hope is lost. Fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, managed to run TotK on PC through an emulator. This could very well happen with Pikmin 4 sometime after release, making the game playable on PC and Steam Deck. While this can happen, we don’t recommend downloading the game in this way.
Become an astronaut in Pikmin 4 and help shepherd the lost castaways back home. Collect each Pikmin onion to unlock new Pikmin types as you go such as Rock Pikmin, Purple Pikmin, and the new Glow Pikmin.
A demo is available for download should you wish to try the game before purchasing it. The demo covers a good section of the game and will help you get used to the gameplay.
