The Pokémon Go Legendary Pokémon are often on rotation. Players can catch a Legendary Pokémon at Raids. These same players will have also noticed that the Legendary Pokémon Lugia has been the one and only Legendary available at Raids since the start of September.

September has already been eventful for Pokémon Go, with the new Season of Mischief, the Psychic Spectacular, the debut of Shiny Ditto in the wild and the debut of Inkay! It’s about time that we’re in for a new Legendary rotation. Different Legendaries will be raiding gyms and available for capture in September 2021!

Pokémon Go Legendary Raid Schedule

The new Pokémon Go Legendary Schedule will change on the 14th of September, with the Sinnoh mythical trio taking on the Gym Raids.

  • Mesprit
  • Uxie
  • Azelf

The various three will be region-dependant. With one of each across the world at any given time.

Pokémon Go Legendary Counters

Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf are all psychic-types. They’re weak against bug, dark and ghost-type Pokémon. Therefor, some of the best Pokémon to use against them are: Gengar, Pinsir, Scizor, Tyranitar, Yanmega, Giratina, Chandelure, Darkrai and Hydreigon.

Mega Raid Rotations

On the 14th of September, Mega Slowbro will also be parting from the Mega Raids. Mega Houndoom will be replacing it until October 1st.

Mega Houndoom Counters

The next Mega to take over the raids is Mega Houndoom. It is a fire/dark type Pokémon so be sure to deck out your party with powerful water-type and ground-type Pokémon. The strongest Pokémon to use against a Mega Houndoom are Kyogre, Rhyperior, Conkeldurr and Mega Blastoise.
