Will there be aliens in Starfield?

Unfortunately, it does not seem as if the human characters in the game have had any encounters with intelligent alien races. By this, we mean intelligent lifeforms and not monstrous creatures searching for their next meal. Though there have been sightings of artifacts, at this point, it is unclear what role aliens, if there are any, will take in Starfield.

Starfield takes place in the year 2330 after humanity has ventured far beyond the solar system. As a result of joining Constellation, a group of space explorers, you may see some strange things.

However, although we have not seen any sign of intelligent alien life or alien species, there have been plenty of hints of alien artifacts. You can find these mysterious objects throughout the Settled Systems, and they may have more meaning as you progress through the main quest. These artifacts suggest an unknown civilization, which may reveal more throughout the story.

Of course, aside from literal aliens, you can also find strange creatures, whether predators or prey. It’s also possible as you progress through Starfield’s main story, you will find out more about any alien lifeforms. However, one thing that may suggest there is extraterrestrial life is the ability to apply Alien DNA as a trait. Though, we are unsure if this DNA is taken from extraterrestrial intelligent life or other animal-like creatures.
