One such situation takes place at the end of The Best There Is mission in Starfield, which is a part of the Crimson Fleet questline. You will either have to let Huan Daiyu (the captain of the Jade Swan) go or let others know about what she did. So, should you betray Huan in Starfield? Let’s find out.
Should I betray Huan in Starfield?
If you ask us, we think that it is better not to betray Huan in Starfield if you’re planning to side with the Crimson Fleet in the future. This is because if you’ve been constantly siding with the Fleet, it’s better to let Huan go, as she will later assist you during your fight with the UC Vigilance faction, which takes place during the final Crimson Fleet mission.

What happens if you betray Huan?
If you betray Huan in Starfield while speaking with Dr. Vogel in the SY-920 space station, the entire station will lock down, and you will have to take the ComSpike to Delgado, who will be disappointed in you as he lost one of his best contacts, Huan Daiyu, because of you. Furthermore, Huan will also promise to take revenge against you, meaning that you’ll need to watch your back from here onward.

What happens if you let Huan go?
Now, if you decide to go the other way and not betray Huan, no one will learn that she is a smuggler. In other words, you will have to persuade Dr Vogel and convince him that you are a test pilot for the ship. Once done, he’ll give you the password and keycard and will ask you to wear the pilot uniform. Make sure to invest some points in your Persuasion skill to convince him quickly.
Later on, Huan will meet you at the Last Nova bar. As she will become your ally after what you did, she will be with you during the final mission of the Crimson Fleet.
