Starfield – Alternating Currents: Should you help Louisa or Zoe?

Should you side with Louisa Reyez or Zoe Kaminski in Starfield? The Alternating Currents quest will have you running around flipping junction boxes all while collecting evidence. It all starts with the Tapping the Grid quest.
There are plenty of decisions you will make in Starfield and some of them directly affect the reward you get or will affect part of the game later on. In this instance, Bethesda has created a feud between a member of MAST and a member of the Trade Authority.
Navigate the stars and find the planet Jemison with the city of New Atlantis on it. You might want to have your Boost Pack at the ready. If not, make sure you at least have some good skills like Security since you will need some Digipicks. In the Alternating Currents quest in Starfield, should you help Louisa or Zoe?
Starfield Alternating Currents quest
The Alternating Currents quest comes after you have completed the Tapping the Grid quest for Louisa. This one of the early side-quests in Starfield. The Alternating Currents mission will have you searching for the source of the power drain in New Atlantis.
To complete the Alternating Currents quest, complete the following steps:
- Talk to Louisa at the Trade Union.
- Follow Louisa inside.
- Listen to the confrontation between Louisa and Zoe.
- Talk to Louisa.
- Follow the quest icons to the junction boxes and flip them.
- Sneak into the apartment by lockpicking the apartment door.
- Give the information to either Louisa or Zoe.
During this quest, Zoe Kaminski will enter the scene and begin to argue with Louisa as you are trying to reach the final junction box.
Afterward, you will enter an apartment in Athena Tower where you will find a computer. To reach the apartment, you must navigate the stairs and lockpick the door. Read what is on the computer to learn about the crime that was committed.
After all the different boxes have been flipped, you will get the choice of either giving the evidence to Zoe or Louisa.
Should you give the evidence to Louisa or Zoe in Starfield?
There is no real difference between the choices. No matter who you choose, the reward for the quest is the same. You will get 2,500 Credits and 75xp. Since Zoe seems pretty guilty and won’t let the evidence be seen without tampering with it, we are more inclined to give it to Louisa.
The main difference between the two NPCs is that one is a MAST employee and the other is a Trade Authority vendor who will purchase contraband and stolen items from you later on in the game.
