Do you want to change your weapons in Starfield? Combat is a pretty common occurrence in the game. Whether you are flying through space or fighting enemies on the ground, you will want to have the right weapons equipped.

Starfield weapons range from SMGs to pistols, knives, shotguns, and grenades. There are hundreds of weapons in the galaxy to choose from. There are also many ammo types to go along with these weapons.

When you have too many weapons, store some on your ship along with all your digipicks. Keep only your favorite weapons as you travel across the star systems. When you are in combat with the Crimson Fleet, you may want to switch your weapons and get the upper hand. Here is how you switch weapons in Starfield.

How to switch weapons in Starfield

To switch weapons in Starfield, you need to access the menu. This is done by pressing the options button on Xbox or the TAB key on PC. Once you are in the menu, go to your inventory by selecting the bottom right section of the screen.

Now that you are in the inventory menu, select the weapons section as shown below. This will allow you to see all of your weapons. Simply select the one you want to equip it.

How to hotbar weapons in Starfield

If you want to add weapons to your favorite bar, hotbar, or quickslot menu, enter your inventory using the method above.

Once you are in the weapons menu, press the Y button on Xbox or the B key on keyboard. This will bring up the favorites menu.

Select the slot that you want the weapon or gear item in. You will see a heart icon appear next to the weapon or item to show that it has been added to the quick select menu. Afterward, leave your inventory menu.

While in combat, you can bring up the hotbar by pressing any direction on the D-Pad or pressing the Q key. With the menu pulled up, select the weapon you want to switch to.
