Do you want to get your hands on a legendary ship in Starfield? There are plenty of quests and missions in Starfield that will lead to you getting better gear, weapons, and even vessels. Bethesda has made sure to add plenty to the game to keep players occupied.

The stats of legendary ships tend to be much greater than those you can just purchase from the spaceport and will often need to be stolen from the Crimson Fleet or Spacers. With Starfield being an RPG, you will probably want to get your hands on the best ship.

Become a real explorer and navigate the star systems. Make sure your piloting skills are ready for the challenge of taking on a legendary ship. When exploring the new frontier, you need all the skills you can get. Here are all the legendary ships in Starfield and how to get them.

Starfield – All legendary ship locations

There are five legendary spaceships that you can get your hands on in Starfield. These ships are listed below:

• Pilgrim – This ship has a decent amount of cargo space but mostly shines during space battles and exploration.
• Mantis/Razorleaf – The fastest and most powerful of the legendary ships. It is great during dogfights thanks to its ability to attack quickly.
• Constellation – The fanciest of the legendary ships in the Settled Systems.
• Explorer – This ship has an excellent grav drive that lets it warp to distant star systems with ease.
• Stronghold – The ship with the most armor. The Stronghold has some of the toughest shields in the game and can protect you from most stuff in the cosmos.

How to unlock legendary ships in Starfield

Legendary ships are hard to come by in Starfield but not impossible to locate. If you want a legendary spacecraft, you can get one by doing the following:

• Exploring – Legendary spaceships will sometimes appear as you are exploring uncharted star systems. Make use of long-range scanners to locate ships floating out in space.
• Complete quests – Not all legendary ships come from quests but ships like the Mantis can be obtained by completing them. The Mantis can be obtained by investigating the unexplained death of the Mantis Clan.
• Defeat rogue captains – Pirates are known for stealing ships and you can get legendary ships by defeating space pirates. This isn’t guaranteed but it is always good to disable a ship’s engines and board it if you think it might be a legendary ship.
• Crafting – You can create your own legendary starship in Starfield but it takes a lot of work. To make your own legendary vessel, you will need to scour the universe for rare blueprints.
• Shopping – That’s right, you can purchase a legendary ship in Starfield. Unfortunately, the price is often very high and they are only sold by special vendors. Check faction vendors to see if they have ships for sale.

There are also legendary ship battles that you can take part in. During these battles, you will want to target specific ship parts like the hull and hope that your crew is up to the challenge. Battles like these are not part of the main quest and you typically won’t find them in more civilized areas like around Akila City or New Atlantis. You will want to check unknown space.

Some ships like the Razorleaf ship are obtained by completing specific quests. The Razorleaf is unlocked by traveling to the lair of the Mantis, solving the floor puzzle, and completing the Mantis quest. This quest also gets you some contraband as well as the Mantis Spacesuit.
