New weapons like the ISO 45 SMG and Tempus Razorback Assault Rifle, new maps like Penthouse and ??, and a new ranked season are all a part of the latest update for Warzone 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Season 4 on June 14. Season 4 also comes with the addition of a new map for DMZ mode, Vondel. If you’re wondering how big Vondel is in comparison to other Warzone maps like Verdansk, we’re here to let you know.

Warzone 2 – How big is Vondel compared to Verdansk?

The Vondel map is a bit smaller than Verdansk, which was the first Warzone Battle Royale map in the series. Vondel is mainly a Resurgence map, which all are smaller than Battle Royale maps in the Warzone series, so it makes sense that Vondel is not quite as large as Verdansk.

While the Verdansk map is not available in Warzone 2, a few hopeful leaks have suggested that it could make its way to Warzone 2, but there is nothing official on this.

Vondel is a medium-sized map by Beenox (who made the Rebirth Island map), that has a whole host of areas to explore, including a medieval castle, a floating district with taxi boats to enjoy on the canals, a soccer stadium, and more. The variety of spaces means you can combat close-range or long-distance with your squadmates against enemy players to enjoy the chaos however you feel like it. Make sure you have a great loadout to go with it.

The Vondel map has 17 points of interest on the map, with plenty of rewards and looting for players to enjoy. These POIs include:

  • Castle
  • University
  • City Hall
  • Courtyard
  • Souvenir District
  • Graveyard
  • Mall
  • Central Station
  • Market
  • Police Station
  • Fire Department
  • Floating District
  • Zoo
  • Stadium
  • Museum
  • Exhibit
  • Cruise Terminal

The Vondel map is no pushover, with a player count of 18 for DMZ mode, and 72 players for Resurgence mode. Players can also enjoy Lockdown LTM on Vondel, as well. These players can be loaded up in the new four-passenger vehicle, the Tactical Amphibious Vehicle, or TAV for short, for plenty of battle on the water, or high stakes combat in narrow corridors.

Vondel will join Verdansk as a Battle Royale mode map in a mid-season update, where players battle to be the last squad standing, in one of the most popular game modes in multiplayer gaming.

You can enjoy the Vondel map along with the new Vondel event, a public event that has you complete challenges at launch to fully take advantage of the new battleground.
