WWE games have been one of the few sports-oriented games that did not have any microtransactions inside. DLC Packs, Season Pass and some minor add-ons like Accelerator Pack and more were often available after the game’s initial release. Does WWE 2K22 continue this trend or the game introduces some form of microtransactions?
WWE 2K22 has microtransactions but they are very optional. The only item you are able to re-purchase are VC points which stands for Virtual Currency. You can purchase two things with it. Either some legends and alternate versions of superstars as well as some arenas in the store or MyFaction items. I will expand upon these MyFaction items in the next section of the article. Everything else from the Store can be unlocked in the game by playing it, or you can purchase SuperCharger for $4.99 to unlock these VC Unlockables.

There is another use for VC, and it is used for MyFaction. You earn MyFaction Points which you can use to unlock the content in that mode, but you can also use VC points. However, the only option to get those at the time being is to purchase them for real money. You do not have to do this; you can unlock everything by just playing the game. It might take some time though, depending on your skill and the amount of time given to playing this particular game mode.

I personally see no reason to purchase any VC. One of the fun aspects of playing MyFaction is to unlock everything and progress by investing your time, and if you want everything else unlocked outside of this mode you can purchase SuperCharger pack. These microtransactions are not intrusive and obligatory in any way.
