We’ve seen an influx of new OLED gaming monitors this year. On top of the usual OLED TV releases happening in the past few years, these new monitors are reaching an even higher level than ever before in terms of specs. MSI is one brand to launch a bunch already, but a leak has revealed that three more are on the way.
OLED gaming monitors have proven to be some of the very best displays for the job. They’re highly responsive, showcase lifelike colors, and are capable for fast refresh rates for the ultimate gaming experience. Even though there has always been a couple of concerns – longevity being a big one – the tech is getting better with every single generation.
MSI is releasing even more QD-OLED monitors this year
MSI has already released a number of OLED monitors this year, as have a range of top brands such as Dell (Alienware), LG, and ASUS – with more on the way with Samsung’s OLED G6, G8, and G9 still yet to come. You’ll find examples of both WOLED and QD-OLED panels hitting the market in 2024, with a mixture of glossy and matte coatings to give you much to consider.
To add to this, an early leak now suggests that MSI is already releasing some extra variations – similar to what we’ve already seen but with some changed specs which will likely reflect on the cost. They cover 27-inch, 32-inch, and 34-inch sizes. Here’s what we know so far:

As evident from the image above, these QD-OLED panels are supplied from Samsung as expected. All three monitors will be supporting the HDMI 2.1 standard, with an ‘anti-reflection’ surface, implying glossy rather than an ‘anti-glare’ matte coating.
Is now the best time to upgrade to OLED?
OLED monitors and OLED TVs have become more much commonplace. With more competition than ever for a massive range of displays to pick from, it could be the best time to upgrade. Thanks to MSI themselves creating more affordable QD-OLED displays, the overall premium cost of this panel technology is slowly coming down.
On top of that, advancements to tackle the problem of burn-in while raising peak brightness levels has made these monitors much more versatile. If they’re now dropping down into your price range, we’d say it’s worth it – if you want the best visual experience.
