What is the expected release window for Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox Series X|S?
The Xbox console release window for Baldur’s Gate 3 is in 2024. So, thankfully, those on Xbox can rejoice as Director Swen Vincke announced on Twitter that they will “bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox players this year still.” While the exact release date is still unclear, players can still be excited for the launch sometime this year.
Furthermore, Swen has gone on to say, “All improvement will be there, with split-screen coop on Series X.” Unfortunately, the Series S will not feature the split-screen coop.” While there is some bad news, there is also plenty of good! The Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke continued to say the Xbox release “will also include cross-save progression between Steam and Xbox Series.”
The reason for the delay was due to technical limitations. However, upon meeting with Phil Spencer, a “solution” has been found, allowing Baldur’s Gate 3 to make its way to Xbox players.
Upon hearing the news, many players eager to get their hands on Baldur’s Gate 3 have shown excitement and praise. One Twitter user has even said, “I love you guys” after the tweet has been posted! While others knew an Xbox release was coming, it was only a matter of time.
